Futurism is a style that assumes simplicity and minimalism, but with the use of characteristic equipment – technologically advanced equipment, modern furniture, unique details. Some solutions are not obvious – on the one hand we have geometry, clear and sharp. On the other hand, however, equipment with rounded, smooth corners and flowing lines. The spaciousness is enhanced by mirrors, high-gloss finishes and glazing used in the arrangement.
Futuristic style – not only high gloss
The leading colours in the futuristic style are black and white - clean, flawless, which gives the interior an almost sterile character. Most often, however, it is broken with additional, contrasting colours. In practice, not every interior finished and decorated in a futuristic style is bright and ascetic. The arrangements use not only smooth ceramics or tiles with a simple pattern, but also wood and laminate with wood imitation, as well as natural and artificial stone. Innovation goes hand in hand with functionality. Hence, the decorations used also have utility functions, and vice versa – everyday objects sometimes look like exhibits from a museum of contemporary art.

An interesting decoration that appears in the realisations of futuristic-style apartments and houses are green walls made of live or artificial plants. Such vertical gardens warm up the interior, but also - if they are designed with natural vegetation - have a practical value. They affect the air quality in the room, humidity and have a positive effect on the well-being of the household members and guests. It is also an attractive accent for lovers of the futuristic eco version. Particularly in this type of project, an important detail - although of large dimensions - is glazing.
Which windows for the futuristic style?
Glass is an important element of the futuristic style. It occurs both in interiors, e.g. in the balustrades of stairs, and in the architecture of the external area. The appearance of the window joinery depends on the entire project. Some investors choose small windows in round frames. Others – for gigantic, permanent glazing on entire walls and corner solutions. Thanks to this, the rooms are filled with light and the interiors seem to be even more open, spacious and clean. Large windows also fit into the concept of a modern, intelligent home, in which energy efficiency is an important parameter. Window frames are most often discreet and subtle – white, in shades of black or grey. Minimalistic fittings, practically invisible. Sometimes the owners of "future" interiors decide to use curtains or curtains of an economical form. However, a good solution in houses and apartments in a futuristic style are roller shutters and external blinds - minimalist in form will not disturb the appearance of the facade or the arrangement inside the building.
